For lifting without a subscription
A workout app you never have to subscribe to.
Most workout trackers rent you your own training log. Arclift doesn’t: logging, unlimited templates, custom exercises and your full history are free for good, with no account and no ads. If you want the statistics, recovery map and progression coach, Pro is $2.99 a month, $19.99 a year, or $49.99 once, and the one-time option never renews.

Why free workout apps end up costing you.
Most trackers are free to download. The catch tends to show up a few weeks in.
Logging stops when the trial ends
Some apps lock the log itself. Fitbod’s help center says that once its 7-day trial ends you can still look at past workouts, but logging new ones needs a subscription, at $15.99 a month or $95.99 a year in the US. The thing you came for stops working the day you stop paying.
Free plans with a ceiling
Others let you log but cap the parts you build up over time. Hevy’s free plan holds four routines and seven custom exercises, and Strong’s holds three routines. Once your program has a fifth day, or your gym has a machine the library doesn’t, the free plan is full.
Subscriptions that never stop
A few dollars a month looks small until you add it up. At Fitbod’s yearly price, three years of training costs about $288, and JEFIT Elite at $69.99 a year comes to about $210, for a log of sets and reps you could have kept in a notebook.
An account before your first set
Many trackers want an email, a password and a profile before you log anything. Hevy needs a sign-up, Strong asks every user to create an account, and Fitbod wants an account and a chosen plan before its trial starts. Your training then lives on their servers.
How Arclift handles it.
Everything that records your training is free. Pro is optional, and you can buy it once.
The log is free for good
Logging, unlimited templates and custom exercises, warm-up, drop and failure sets, rest timers, your full history, iCloud sync, Apple Health and share cards are all free, with no trial clock and no ads. You never pay to write down a set, and nothing you log disappears if you never buy anything.
Pay once, if you want more
Arclift Pro adds statistics and progress charts, the recovery map and the progression coach. It is $2.99 a month or $19.99 a year, or $49.99 once: a one-time purchase that never renews, unlocks Pro on your Apple Account for good, and can be restored if you reinstall the app.
No account to create
There is no sign-up at all. Install the app and start a set. Your workouts are stored on your iPhone and synced through your own iCloud account, where we can’t read them, so there is no profile to delete, no password to forget and nothing to cancel if you stop.
Your history comes with you
Switching doesn’t mean starting from zero. Arclift imports the CSV exports from Hevy and Strong for free, with every exercise, set, weight and rep, and the free workout log template uses the same columns as Strong’s export, so a spreadsheet log comes across too.
What each tracker costs.
US prices from each app’s own App Store listing or pricing page, checked on 25 October 2026. Arclift’s free plan is the whole log; its paid columns are for the extras.
| App | Free plan | Yearly | One-time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Arclift | Logging, unlimited templates and history, no account | $19.99 for Pro | $49.99 for Pro |
| Hevy | 4 routines, 7 custom exercises, 3 months of graphs | $23.99 | $74.99 |
| Strong | 3 routines, some charts | $29.99 | Listed at $79.99 and $99.99 |
| Fitbod | A 7-day trial, then a subscription to keep logging | $95.99 | Only in occasional promotions |
| JEFIT | Logging and custom routines, up to 7 custom exercises per its blog | $69.99 | None listed |
Prices change and vary by country, and the App Store shows yours before you buy anything. Each app’s comparison page covers what its paid plan includes.

Questions about paying for a workout app
Is there a workout app without a subscription?

Is Arclift really free?
Yes. Logging, unlimited templates and custom exercises, your full history, iCloud sync, Apple Health and share cards are free for good. Statistics, the recovery map and the progression coach are part of Arclift Pro, which you can buy monthly, yearly or once.
What does the lifetime purchase include?
Arclift Pro, including statistics and progress charts, the recovery map and the progression coach. It is a single payment of $49.99 in the US that never renews, unlocks Pro on your Apple Account for good, and can be restored if you reinstall the app.
What happens to my workouts if I stop paying for Pro?
